Locates in the southwestern part of Inner Mongolia, surrounds by the Yellow River in west, north and east, faces Huhhot and Baotou over the river in the north, forms the "Golden Triangle" of economic zone in the middle of Inner Mongolia, separates with Shanxi, Shanxi, Ningxia Provinces by the great wall in the south.
