The city's economy experienced a high-base high-speed growth in 2004, followed by further strong growth this year. As of the end of November 2005, the city's fiscal revenue more than doubled and reached 8.40907 billion yuan, an increase of 119.4% on a year-on-year basis. The city now ranks the No. 2 in Inner Mongolia.
